Part-Time Contractor: Bilingual Family Ambassador, Oakland Enrolls

Oakland, CA

OAKLAND ENROLLS MISSION

Our mission is to help Oakland families make informed choices about public charter school options and make the enrollment process easy, efficient, and equitable.

ARE YOU READY TO HELP FAMILIES FIND THEIR SCHOOL?

Oakland Enrolls runs a common application for 25 public charter schools across Oakland. We’re launching a Family Ambassador Pilot Program for the 2026–27 enrollment season and looking for trusted bilingual community members to help us reach families who have historically had less access to information about their school options — particularly families where Spanish, Mam, Arabic, Chinese, Vietnamese, or other languages are spoken at home.

Family Ambassadors recruit families from their own networks, guide them through the application process, and support outreach events during the enrollment season. This is a paid contract role for someone who is already connected to Oakland families and wants to help them navigate their school options.

We operate as a project of Families in Action for Quality Education (FIA), a 501(c)3 focused on helping underserved Oakland families access quality schools.
